FEBRUARY TUITION

Payment for tuition/fees is exclusively accepted through our tuition software, and it will appear as a draft from your bank by Lincoln Savings Bank.

A late fee of $50.00 per month will be imposed on the 6th. If tuition remains unpaid for two consecutive weeks, the child may be withdrawn, and the spot will promptly be filled with a family from the waitlist.

Absences cannot be compensated by attending on an alternative day.

Invoices will be sent to the parent/guardian’s email on record. A New Day CDC prioritizes environmental sustainability and, therefore, issues receipts via email to the individual financially responsible each month during the tuition processing. These receipts contain all necessary information for taxes, HSA, and FSA purposes.

Tuition may be adjusted when necessary, with a complete 30-day written notice to the administration office of A New Day CDC from the parents. Kindly direct written emails to irma@anewdaycdc.com.

In instances where circumstances or hardships make it challenging to pay tuition, please reach out to Irma to arrange a payment schedule and sign a payment agreement. No refunds or prorates are issued for absences, adverse weather days, vacations, teacher in-service days, holidays, or any day the school is closed due to unforeseen circumstances, including closures initiated by state officials, CDC, or administration.

We will be having a Teacher’s In Service Day!

MONTHLY PARENT REMINDERS

SEASONAL ALLERGIES

If your child suffers from seasonal allergies, please be sure to give them their medication before sending them to school. By Childcare Licensing Minimum Standards we are not allowed to let a child stay in class with an uncontrollable cough. You may be asked to pick up your child if you do not give them any medication before sending them to school.

IMMUNIZATIONS:

Please be sure to upload a copy of your child’s immunization file to your child’s Brightwheel profile. Please also submit a current copy of your child’s immunization records to your child’s teacher so we can place a copy in the file at school.

HEARING & VISION SCREENING:

The State requires that all children 4 years and older complete a vision and hearing screening, showing numeric results. This information must be submitted to A NEW DAY CDC to be kept in your child’s file. If your child turns 4 during the school year, you must complete this screening and hand in the report within one week of his/her birthday.

POTTY TRAINING & TOILETING POLICY:

Our 2 year to 2.5-year-old students are encouraged to work toward potty training.   The teacher and family will implement a “Potty Plan”, when the child shows signs of readiness.  When the Potty Plan is put into place, all parties are asked to approach this and be consistent.

Children ages 2.5-years-old must be in pull-ups rather than diapers and be taking steps towards potty training. Please be sure to send the pull-ups that open up on the sides for easy replacement.

Families are responsible for providing all diapers, pull-ups, wipes, creams, etc. for their child. We ask that you make sure that there be ample supplies for your child at school. When your child is running low on supplies, we will send you a reminder to bring the needed supplies to the school.

A New Day Child Development Center’s Toileting Policy

All children ages 3 and above, should be able and be confident in using the bathroom independently including wiping themselves. Toileting routines at home and school should be as similar as possible. For this reason, we encourage parents to work with their child as much as possible till they have mastered this very important developmental milestone.

All children in classes 3 years and above must arrive in underwear each day and have at least two changes of clothing at school. Please be sure to send clothing that is appropriate for the current weather.

CLOTHING & PERSONAL ITEMS:

Due to the risk to the child, childcare licensing prohibits the use of students wearing any teething necklaces or using pacifiers with anything tethered to them (clip, stuffed animal etc.)

A New Day CDC also prohibits the use of any other jewelry to be worn at school.  Examples include necklaces, bracelets, snap bracelets etc.

Children should never bring electronic devices or personal toys to the school. Items brought from home can easily be damaged or lost and can also create unnecessary distractions within the classroom.  A New Day CDC is not responsible for any item children bring to school.

All other personal belongings such as backpacks, lunchboxes, jackets, glasses, and sunscreen must be labeled with your child’s first and last name or initials.

PLEASE BE SURE TO LABEL, EVERYTHING…

The responsibility for dress and clothing rests with the parent(s)/guardian(s). The following list outlines some suggestions that will apply specifically to preschoolers:

·      Provide clothing that is loose and has simple fasteners.

·      All removable clothing should be labeled with your child’s name.

·      Expect your child to get messy as “playing” with many different things are all part of development.

·      Please be sure to dress your child appropriately in clothing suitable for play. There may be times when our play gets messy or dirty. We try our best to keep clothing clean, but accidents do happen.

For safety during outside play, we recommend that children wear closed-toed shoes with an enclosed heel. Flip-flops make it difficult to run and climb safely. Sneakers allow children to fully experience the playground in a safe manner. We ask that children wear shoes that they can put on with minimal assistance, such as sneakers with Velcro. Children wearing lace-up shoes should be able to tie by themselves.
