Tuition is due on the 1st of each month for the entire month.  You may pay tuition by sending a payment to irma@anewdaycdc.com through Chase QuickPay or Venmo.  Personal checks need to be made payable to A New Day Child Development Center. Please be sure to count the number of Fridays in each month to determine the cost of tuition.

Please be sure to pay this on time to avoid any late charges.

THIS MONTH WE WILL BE REVIEWING THE FOLLOWING:

In the summer months, we review all the letters of the alphabet, numbers 1-20, colors, and shapes. Read alphabet and number books to your child to reinforce this review. Practice counting items around the house and sing “The Alphabet Song” with your child as you go about your day. Name colors and shapes as you see them outdoors while enjoying summertime activities.

THEMES FOR JUNE

DAIRY DAYS:

Ice cream, milk, yogurt, and cheese — learn where all these yummy dairy treats come from. Information about dairy products and the animals that produce them will be shared to celebrate Dairy Month.

POND LIFE:

Dive in and explore the pond! Discover animals and creatures that live in or near these small bodies of water, and learn about the plants that grow in the boggy area.

ACTIVITIES FOR HOME:

•Help your child build strong bones and muscles by making sure she has plenty of dairy in her diet. Start the day off with a bowl of her favorite cereal and a cup of milk. Munch on sticks of string cheese and low-fat yogurt for snacks.

•Take a quick inventory of your refrigerator with your child. What are some of the dairy products that your family uses? Point out the different dairy products served in your meals, also.

•Set healthy examples for your family. Reduce TV watching and increase active play. Plan fun activities with your child(ren). Go on a family bike ride or walk. Walk to a local park and play or go on a hike. The first day of summer is June 21. Celebrate the season with a picnic lunch or dinner (don’t forget the fruit and vegetables!) outdoors. Lay out a blanket in your own backyard or set up a spot in a neighborhood park. Enjoy the warm weather and sights that the summer season has to offer.

ARRIVALS

With summer here please be sure to call the school by 8:00 am each morning to let us know if your child will not be attending for the day. 512-264-7373.

LUNCH & SNACKS

PLEASE BE SURE TO PACK ENOUGH FOOD FOR YOUR CHILD FOR THE ENTIRE DAY…

Any child arriving at school after 8:00 am should eat breakfast before arriving at school. Please be sure to follow this policy so that it does not interfere with the school curriculum that starts immediately at 8:30 am.

When packing your child’s lunch, please remember these considerations: Each child is required to bring a spill proof water bottle (Funtainers work the best) to keep in their lunch box everyday.  Please make sure it has fresh water in it before sending.

  • Age appropriateness of food item and amount of food
  • Color of food (color makes the meal attractive and provides a great learning experience)
  • How is the food packed; containers need to be appropriate for the child to experience success in taking off the lids and opening any baggies.
  • Does it need to be warmed and for how long?
  • Choking hazard?
  • High sugar content foods such as donuts, donut holes, & sweet pastry items should be avoided. NO CANDY ALLOWED AT ALL…

**Consider freezing yogurt tubes and inserting them into your child’s lunch bag.  The frozen tube will serve as an ice pack and keep food coldChildren should eat breakfast before arriving at school.  All meat and fruit should be cut in small child bite size pieces so that children will be able to feed themselves. (Staff will assist younger children.) Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m., and a snack will be served at 2:30 p.m.

CLOCK IN & CLOCK OUT:

Per Childcare Licensing Minimum Standards, children must be clocked in and out daily, and are only released to names entered into our database. Once a parent checks out a child, the parent is solely responsible for supervising the child while on A New Day Child Development Center premises.

EXTENDED SUMMER VACATIONS

We realize that summer is a time where everyone wants to take time off to spend time with their  family or to save money on childcare.  Please keep in mind, quality childcare is difficult to find, so it is important to make sure your child’s spot at A New Day CDC  is secure during your summer vacation plans. Please take into consideration that any unpaid time for vacation is a serious loss of income for the pre-school.   The pre-school must continue to meet all expenses incurred for the operation of the facility including keeping our wonderful staff employed.

A New Day CDC enrolls all students on a first come first serve basis.  Students who are withdrawn for the summer will be contacted as the spaces are filling up for each class to give those students and their parents’ first choice to fill that opening.  If the parent decides not to take the opening then they will be re-enrolled as a position comes available.

PLEASE BE SURE TO LET US KNOW AHEAD OF TIME IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO TAKE ANY TIME OFF DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS…

REGISTRATION / SUPPLY FEES

All registration / supply fees are due upon admission and renewable each year thereafter on July 31st, for returning students.  All fees are non-refundable and help cover the cost of school program, along with other school, arts & crafts supplies for the year.

A NEW DAY CDC WILL BE CLOSED ON MONDAY, JULY 2nd THROUGH FRIDAY JULY 6th.

RETURN BLANKETS & PILLOW CASES

Blankets and pillow cases are sent home every other Friday to be cleaned and sanitized by the parents.  PLEASE BE SURE TO SEND THEM BACK  the following Monday so that your child will have it for nap-time.

SUNSCREEN APPLICATIONS

During the summer months, please be sure to apply sunscreen before sending them to school each day.  We will re-apply as needed when we take them out again during the day.

 SPLASH DAYS

Starting on Tuesday, June 5th weather permitting we will be having splash day every Tuesday and Wednesday during the months of June and through the end of July.

On these days please send your child dressed in their swimwear and their extra change of clothes and a towel in their backpacks.  Your child will need to bring the following items to leave here for summer fun.

Please be sure to mark their name clearly on each item.

PARENT REFERRAL PROGRAM

The highest compliment our parents can pay us is the referral of family or friends for childcare at our school.  The trust and confidence that you place in us each and every day means a great deal.

In appreciation of that trust and confidence, we are excited to share our Parent Referral Program once again.  You will receive a $200.00 referral fee for every new enrollment as a result of your referral.  Each time a child is enrolled as a result of your recommendation to other parents, you will receive a $200.00 tuition credit after that child is enrolled for 4 weeks.
